About the Program
Participants in the Parent and Child program gain a sense of community while developing lifelong friendships and exploring the great outdoors.
Every class, the children gather in front of the Westdale Children’s School building to meet the program’s facilitator for a leisurely walk to the nearby park. From there, they engage in a fun circle time to share stories, sing songs, and catch up on the week’s events. The class then proceeds to the local aviary to admire the birds before moving on for a hike through the forest and an adventure into whatever the season has to offer.
This program is for parents/guardians and their little ones between the ages of 1 and 4. Additional children under 1 are welcome to join the class at no extra fee, but please let us know ahead of time.
